Ella is very much the type to think with her heart. She is the sort who looks at the world, and knows, rather than wishes, she can make it better. In fact, she is almost disturbingly optimistic. With her optimism, comes a bubbly personality that is often infectious. She has a tendency to ramble, and she is known to say things she shouldn't, though she always feels guilty about it after. This is especially true with regards to unwelcome observations.

She has reached a point in her life, however, where her faith in the world is being challenged. Ella still has not entirely come to terms with her sister's death, and that certainly shows. She's a little less optimistic, her smile is too often laced with sadness, and her typical chattiness has been somewhat tempered.

Despite seeming a shadow of her former self, she is getting stronger every day, her love of life slowly returning. Those she allows close will see more of the bubbly, optimistic girl and less of the quiet, lonely young woman.

Even after everything she has seen in her young life, Ella is unfailingly compassionate. No matter how she wishes that were not the case, she will always put others' needs ahead of her own. In the case of innocent creatures (cats, dogs, rabbits, etc.) she can be fiercely protective. She is also incredibly protective of her family, which is, in part, why she has had so much difficulty accepting Ashley's death.

Her loyalty is unmatched, making her an excellent friend to have around. Though, this loyalty can sometimes cloud her judgment, blinding her to those instances where she is being used or someone she cares about is exhibiting poor behavior and decision-making.

She is generally opposed to violence, but she is no stranger to it. While she will do everything in her power to avoid physical confrontation, usually trying to talk herself out of bad situations, she is capable of handling herself. Her mother made certain she knew how to use a variety of weapons, as well as how to defend herself when no weapon is readily available.

Ella is calm, creative, gentle, loving, and incredibly genuine. She enjoys spending her time making the world around her a better place, and her free time is often devoted to writing or drawing. She is also an exceptional musician, primarily playing the piano. When she is expressing herself creatively, whether through her writing or her music, there is an almost magical quality about her.
